Hispanic Lifestyle is pleased to President & CEO of Stateside Affairs, Cristina Pinzon as a Latina of Influence. Ms. Pinzon will be recognized for her leadership in our community during Hispanic Lifestyle’s Connecting Latinas of Influence | New Jersey to be held on September 26, 2024.

Cristina Pinzon is the President & CEO of Stateside Affairs. In this role, she is responsible for the overall growth and success of the company. She oversees the planning and execution of each campaign to advance the objectives of her clients. Prior to launching Stateside Affairs, Cristina has worked for several well-known organizations, including the State of New Jersey, NBC, News 12 New Jersey, and United Way. Since then, she has championed a diverse array of crisis communication issues using creative marketing solutions, strategic thinking and effective problem solving skills.

Cristina has more than 18 years of prior experience as a former journalist and government official. She holds a bachelor’s degree with honors in broadcast journalism with a concentration in political science from Montclair State University. She is certified from Rutgers State University in Public Housing Section 8 Management and Assessment, Tenant Based Assistance, Financial Issues and Procedures, and Ethics. As a result, she has uniquely positioned herself in both public and private sectors, bringing added value to her work and clients alike. Cristina’s work has appeared in major publications, including Yahoo News, Ebony, Insider NJ, NJBiz, NJ.com, Spotlight New Jersey, The New York Times, Telemundo, Univision, in addition to major news networks. In addition to her professional career, Cristina is recognized for her work in the area of economic development, affordable housing and social justice. She has worked with cities such as Elizabeth, Newark, West New York, Plainfield, and Perth Amboy to help garner community and government support and provide aid to underserved communities. Cristina is a former commissioner and chairperson for the Elizabeth Housing Authority, where she worked to ensure low-and middle-income families have quality and safe affordable housing.

Stateside Affairs is a multilingual minority and woman-owned business and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise with the State of New Jersey, New York City, as well as with the PANYNJ. Stateside Affairs employs a pool of diverse talent, ranging from millennials to seasoned professionals. Comprised of former journalists, media specialists and government officials with 50 years of combined experience, Stateside Affairs utilizes state-of-the-art marketing and strategic thinking to reach the clients’ desired audience, and one that sets them apart.

In 2014, she joined the executive board of Latina Civic Action, an organization that supports progressive Latina candidates who are committed to advancing a policy agenda that prioritizes women’s economic, social and emotional welfare, and prioritizes the expansion of educational opportunities for all.

In 2019, Cristina was honored to join the executive board of the Statewide Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. The chamber is the voice of the more than 120,000 Latino businesses that contribute more than $20 billion to the New Jersey economy. It is also ranked as the number one chamber in the State of New Jersey by NJBiz.

In 2022, Stateside Affairs won the Gold Stevie® Award in the international, 19th annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business. Stateside Affairs was the only U.S. company to be named a Finalist in the Social Media Team of the Year category, ultimately winning the Gold Stevie®. For the second year in a row, Stateside Affairs was recognized on NJBIZ’s 2022 Reader Rankings as one of the Top 3 for Minority-Owned Business, Women-Owned Business, and Public Relations Firm.

In 2023, Stateside Affairs was named the First-Place Winner in NJBIZ’s 2023 Reader Rankings as the #1 Minority-Owned Business, receiving multiple Stevie® Awards, and securing a place on various prestigious industry lists and won a Bronze Stevie® Award in 2023 Stevie Awards for Women in Business. Cristina Pinzon was recognized and celebrated at the prestigious 2023 ROI-NJ Champions of the C-Suite Gala. This exclusive award, organized by ROI-NJ and proudly presented by the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce, acknowledges the outstanding achievements of the top 150 business leaders in the state of New Jersey. This year, Stateside Affairs won a Silver Stevie® Award in the International 2024 Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service.
