Mexican American Opportunity Foundation (MAOF)

Hispanic Lifestyle had the privilege of speaking with Dr. Ciriaco “Cid” Pinedo, the president and CEO of the Mexican American Opportunity Foundation (MAOF), at their 2023 annual gala. During our conversation, Dr. Pinedo shared the organization’s mission and its significant impact on our community. 

The mission of the Mexican American Opportunity Foundation (MAOF) is to provide for the socio-economic betterment of the greater Latino community of California, while preserving the pride, values and heritage of Mexican-American culture. This is accomplished through programs in early childhood education and family services, job training, and senior lifestyle development throughout the multicultural communities served by MAOF.

Dr. Ciriaco “Cid” Pinedo, a first-generation college graduate, was named President and CEO of MAOF in April 2022. He leads the organization in providing comprehensive human services to empower families and contribute to community growth. Prior to MAOF, Dr. Pinedo served as President and CEO of Children’s Fund, Hope through Housing Foundation, Chief Operating Officer of National CORE, and Associate Superintendent of Business Services and Economic Development at Chaffey College.
