Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month: Entertainment
Television Academy Foundation Honors Latinos in News and Entertainment
During Hispanic Heritage Month, Hispanic Lifestyle is profiling businesses, organizations and individuals who have inspiring stories when reaching out to the Latino Community. Here, Hispanic Lifestyle is highlighting the Television Academy Foundation for their Cultural Art Exhibit featuring Latino icons during Hispanic Heritage Month.
In partnership with Google, the exhibit aims to document and curate the “life work of pioneering Latinos in news and entertainment for future generations” said Madeline Di Nonno, chair of the Television Academy Foundation. With the exhibit being hosted online, visitors from around the world will have access to various resources and look at work from a Latino perspective.
The Television Academy Foundation’s The Interviews: An Oral History of Television celebrates the contributions of Latinos to the news and entertainment industries with Hector Elizondo, Sonia Manzano, Jorge Ramos, Ricardo Montalban, Rita Moreno, Edward James Olmos, Mario Kreutzberger, and Maria Elena Salinas.
