The California Association for Bilingual Education (CABE) is a non-profit organization that promotes bilingual education and quality educational experiences for all students in California. With over 5,000 members with over 60 chapters/affiliates statewide, Hispanic Lifestyle had a chance to speak with their Chief Executive Officer María Quezada, Ph.D. about the theme and purpose of their annual convention.
We went on to ask Ms. Quezada what are the major concerns of the conference attendees.
Ms. Quezada spoke about CABE’s other activities they produced throughout the year.
Hispanic Lifestyle spoke with the president of CABE, Gloria Inzunza-Franco about the mission of the organization.

One topic that has nation’s attention is the proposed legislation titled the Dream Act. Ms. Franco spoke about the difference of the State’s and National versions of the bill.
NLBWA – LA
The National Latina Business Women Association (NLBWA’s) mission is to promote, develop and support the rapid growth of Latina business owners and professionals. At the annual “Latinas in Business Awards” event, Hispanic Lifestyle had a chance to speak with the president of the Los Angeles chapter Ana Perez about the organization’s background.
Ms. Perez went on to talk about how social media has played a role in the organization’s continued success.
Monica Gil
Next we meet one of the evenings honorees Ms. Monica Gil about her position with the Nielsen Company.

Anita Quinonez Gabrielian
Anita Quinonez Gabrielian is the Executive Director External Affairs in Los Angeles for AT&T. With all the activity surrounding the telecommunication industry she began our conversation by talking about her background and experience.
