Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers
The Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) was founded in 1974 by a group of engineers employed by the city of Los Angeles.Today, SHPE as it is known enjoys a strong but independent network of professional and student chapters throughout the nation.
Hispanic Lifestyle was invited out to their annual gala and spoke with CEO Pilar Montoya about the event, the organization and it’s mission.

Ms. Montoya went on to talk about their efforts in the classroom.
Several Latino actors and actresses came out in support of the event. Hispanic Lifestyle took this opportunity to talk about education and current projects. First up, was actress Yvette Yates.
Yvette went on to talk about her experience on the movie without men.
Featured in the role of Carla in the movie Maria Full of Grace, actress Patrica Rae spoke about her career in the entertainment industry.
