Paul Rodriguez and Los Lobos Concert Cesar E. Chavez Memorial Fundraiser
The Cesar Chavez Memorial Statue Fund Committee is pleased to announce
a VIP reception opportunity for Fox Theater patrons attending the December 3, 2011 Paul Rodriquez /Los Lobos performance! Ticket holders may purchase entrance to the pre and post receptions for only $50 for both! Sculptor Ignacio Gomez will be present at the pre-show reception from 6:00-7:00 to talk about his vision and will have some of his work on display. Paul Chavez and Los Lobos will join us for a meet and greet at the post reception from 10:00-11:00 p.m.

Paul Rodriguez has been making audiences laugh all over the world (in Spanish and English) for nearly three decades with his unique brand of humor that is a perfect blend of his Latin heritage and the American dream. As an actor and comedian Paul Rodriguez’s multi-faceted career includes starring roles and featured appearances in over 45 films and countless television series and comedy specials.
In addition to being a revolutionary and enduring force in the world of comedy, throughout his career Rodriguez has remained involved with various charitable, civic and educational organizations including the Hispanic Scholarship Fund, Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, The Leukemia Society; and he was recently appointed to the California Film Commission. In addition, as part owner of the world famous Laugh Factory, Rodriguez has participated in the club’s annual free Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners for the underprivileged for over 25 years.
Los Lobos is a multiple Grammy Award-winning band from Los Angeles best known for their No. 1 hit single “La Bamba.” They are a band that has consistently evolved artistically while never losing sight of their humble roots.
The Paul Rodriguez/Los Lobos Concert will benefit fundraising for the Cesar E. Chavez Memorial. The erection of this Ignacio Gomez designed and sculptured memorial holds significant meaning for many within and beyond the local community. The Chavez monument will be placed in the Promenade in downtown Riverside on Main in the University Avenue area, joining existing statues of activists MLK, Gandhi, and others.
