Hispanic Lifestyle is pleased to recognize Cecilia Mota founder Women in Media Productions as a 2019 Latina of Influence. Ms. Mota along with our entire list of 2019 Latinas of Influence are invited to participate in Latina Conference 2019 taking place April 10 and 11, 2019 in Ontario, California.
Cecilia Mota is an award-winning influential Latina leader in the women empowerment space and personal branding expert, who after 20 years of serving in the nonprofit sector advanced her career into Radio, TV Host and Producer. Currently, Founder of her own production company, Women in Media Productions – Cecilia Coaches Influencers who want to launch their own Podcast as well as other media outlets. Among her accomplishments, as Producer she is launching her legendary father’s podcast, the Manny Mota Show. Mr. Mota is an LA Dodgers Coach and Latino baseball icon who’s baseball career spans more than six decades. Cecilia is also working on his book deal, a children’s book and a film adaptation.
Ms. Mota is described as a passionate Women Empowerment Expert and Influential Latina Leader. She’s an Entrepreneur, Radio & TV Host and producer who has also been serving the nonprofit sector for over 20 years. She currently serves as the Executive Director of LatinaVIDA a career development platform for career minded Latinas, and recently launched a new project, Women in Media Talks, an educational panel series and workshops for creatives seeking to advance their skills, knowledge and expand their opportunities in digital or traditional media.
Cecilia is a Philanthropist at heart and over the past 20 years, has generously given much of her time to serve on the board of or run local and national nonprofit organizations. Most recently she served as Chairwoman of the Board of the CA Hispanic Chambers of Commerce Foundation, and past National President of the National Latina Business Women Association. Cecilia currently sits on the Board of Trustees of the Dominican Republic Sports & Education Academy and the Advisory Board of the Association of Black Latinos. She is also a former Board Director of the U.S. Latino American Chamber of Commerce, the Alliance of Multicultural Entrepreneurs, and Operation Project Hope.
Being a women empowerment advocate allows Cecilia to be a voice for women who cannot speak for themselves and are desperately seeking to improve their lives and change their current situation through learning, entrepreneurship and/or personal development. Cecilia is a strong, resilient woman that has come to embrace her feminine power and uniqueness as an Afro Latina Woman, and feel the joy of being a role model to her children and her community. Sharing knowledge and bringing women together to collaborate plays a big part in Cecilia’s life philosophy, therefore she lives by the mantra that says: When women work together amazing things happen.
