Armed with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from The University of Texas-Pan American, she boasts over two decades of law enforcement experience, making her a seasoned professional in her field.

In 2017, she co-founded AMVETS Post 107, aimed at supporting veterans and improving their quality of life, along with their families and communities, through leadership, advocacy, and services.
