Hispanic Lifestyle is honored to recognize Associate Director of Regional Operations at the University of Texas at Arlington’s Admission Office Sandra Esquivel as a Latina of Influence. Ms. Esquivel will be recognized for her leadership in our community during Hispanic Lifestyle’s Connecting Latinas of Influence | Texas to be held on August 27, 2024 in Dallas, Texas.
Sandra Esquivel is a passionate advocate for education, boasting over 19 years dedicated to promoting higher education across the DFW area. Currently, she serves as the Associate Director of Regional Operations at the University of Texas at Arlington’s Admission Office. In this role, Sandra plays a crucial part in guiding high school seniors involved with Tarrant County’s GO Centers and the Texas Promise programs. These initiatives are designed to illuminate career paths and demystify college applications, scholarships, and financial aid, particularly benefiting at-risk students by offering them personalized support to excel in their educational pursuits and transform their futures.
Beyond her professional responsibilities, Sandra volunteers as the Education Chair for HWNT-Fort Worth’s Latinas in Progress, a mentorship program aiding high school senior girls in navigating educational opportunities for their post-high school journey. She is also actively engaged with HOBY Youth Leadership of North Texas, fostering leadership potential among students to empower them as future community leaders.
Sandra holds a Master’s degree in Leadership and Policy Studies in Higher Education from The University of Texas at Arlington, complementing her extensive experience and reinforcing her profound commitment to facilitating academic success for students.
Recognition of Sandra’s outstanding contributions includes prestigious awards such as the Ford Mujeres Legendarias of 2023, the Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce’s 50 Emerging Leaders Award in 2023, and the Each Moment Matters Award in 2022. She was also honored with the TCU Advising Corps – Higher Education Partnership Award in 2022, underscoring her impact and dedication in the field of education.
