Hispanic Lifestyle is honored to recognize Yvette Seymour Ed.D. Portfolio Director – IT, Grid Systems & Security PMO, as a Latina of Influence. Ms. Seymour will be recognized for her leadership in our community during Hispanic Lifestyle’s Connecting Latinas of Influence | Inland Empire to be held on May 23, 2024 in downtown Riverside, California.
An experienced project management leader. My expertise is in leading large cross functional teams in the development and execution of complex capital and customer project portfolios in Transmission and Distribution. I have recently received my doctorate in Organizational Change and Leadership. Known for being a strong collaborator, skilled in leveraging all skills across diverse teams and incorporating multiple voices into solutions. I am seeking a director role in project management and cross functional leadership.
Portfolio Director – IT, Grid Systems, and Security Project Management Office (PMO)
• Responsible for strategic alignment of multiple teams managing several large programs complex in size, scope, budget, and impact.
• Collaborate with cross-functional workgroups and to ensure successful project scoping, timelines/schedule, cost estimates/budgets, licensing/permitting, environmental analysis and permitting, community outreach, engineering and design, and construction management.
• Identifies risks/issues, develops mitigation solutions.
• Ensures regulatory reports and deadlines are adhered to, and departmental activities comply with regulating entities’ rules and regulations.
• Immediately investigates and responds to any known regulatory violations, inspections, notices, investigations, or enforcement activities.
• Collaborates with professional consultant to drive enterprise-wide change management activities through implementation, readiness, and integration. Work with key stakeholders on adoption strategies for sustainability.
• Maintains portfolio compliance with contract law and presents supporting documentation for regulatory boards and other government agencies.
• Responsible for client facing and vendor management support.
• Communicates with client sponsors on status, risks, issues, funding, and budgets.
• Develops workforce planning and yearly budget for Project Management Office (PMO) workgroup.
• Represents project portfolio initiatives during weekly Senior Leadership Team (SLT) meetings and monthly retreats.
• Attend board meetings to provide updates and key strategies that align with the company’s mission.
• Performs business development activities including prospective client presentations, request for proposal (RFP) responses, trade show attendance, and other marketing deliverables as needed.
• Leads, coaches, and mentors teams, conducts one-on-ones, and performance reviews.
