People | Jesus M. Maldonado Reyes New Exec Dir. HACR
The Hispanic Association on Corporate Responsibility (HACR) is pleased to welcome Jesus M. Maldonado Reyes as the organization’s new executive director.
Maldonado Reyes has over 15 years of experience in the corporate sector, including positions at Accenture, BlackRock, Fleet Boston Financial, and Goldman Sachs. Most recently, Maldonado Reyes was a professor at Wisconsin Lutheran College developing a diversity recruiting strategy targeting U.S. and Latin American markets to increase student enrollment at the school.
“I’m excited to have Jesus join the organization and I welcome his vast experience in the corporate and nonprofit sector as it will keep us on a continued path of success,” HACR President and CEO Carlos Orta said. “During his time in Corporate America, he has successfully initiated numerous diversity recruiting strategies which will be invaluable to our corporate and coalition members.”
During his 15 plus years in Corporate America, he also built numerous alliances and partnerships to have companies engage with underrepresented populations in multiple geographies.
His extensive background in the nonprofit sector includes serving on ASPIRA of New York’s board since 2007 and on the National Society of Hispanic MBAs (NSHMBA) national board from 2003-2006. He was also president of NSHMBA’s New York chapter from 2001-2002.
He received the national “Brillante Award for Member Excellence” from NSHMBA in 2007 and was the recipient of the corporate circle of achiever award from ASPIRA in 2001.
A member of NSHMBA, the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers and Society of Human Resource Management, Maldonado Reyes has Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees, with a focus in chemical engineering, from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez.
