Masks of Venice, Italy

During our Venice, Italy adventure, we captured a few photos of people wearing masks. A little history, Venetians used masks as a means of disguise whenever they deemed it necessary. This practice enabled them to transcend the rigid class hierarchy, allowing all classes to mingle freely. Men could dress as women, and women could dress as men.
