San Diego Latino Film Festival
MEDIA ARTS Center San Diego announces the arrival of the prestigious and internationally recognized San Diego Latino Film Festival, now celebrating its 19th edition. Over 20,000 festival attendees, 160 entertaining & award-winning movies, special guest celebrities, recognized filmmakers, industry professionals, artists, and will gather from March 8 – 18, 2012 at the UltraStar Mission Valley Cinemas Hazard Center.

A few of the confirmed feature films to be screened at the 11-day 19th Annual San Diego Latino Film Festival include: AMERICA starring Edward James Olmos, EL CIELO EN TU MIRADA starring Jaime Camil, LA OTRA FAMILA starring Jorge Salinas and Carmen Salinas, and EL SUENO DE IVAN starring Oscar nominee, Demian Bichir. As in every year, SDLFF is much more than just film screenings. SDLFF 2012 will include live appearances by Nickelodeon’s famous TV characters – Dora the Explorer and Diego during select Para la Familia events; plus special showcases of U.S. Latino Film, New Chilean Directors, Jewish Latino Cinema, Documania!, Cine Gay, Cine’Mation; Tributes, Workshops; parties, live musical performances, and much more.
New tickets are $10.00, for general audience, and $8.00 for Students, Seniors, Military & MEDIA ARTS CENTER SAN DIEGO Members (ID required). Special Cine Club Memberships can be purchased at www.mediaartscenter.org/cineclub. 2012 Film or Festival Passes are also available. Film Pass is $90, which includes entrance to 11 films, no waiting in lines and VIP seating and the Festival Pass, which is $180 and includes OVER 100 programs, no waiting in lines, VIP seating, 4 workshops, 1 year FREE MEDIA ARTS CENTER SAN DIEGO Amigo membership, and entrance into all Festival Galas.
