“As the writer/director of Sherman Way my goal is to prove that you don’t need 100 million dollars to make a great movie. You need a talentedcast and crew that really care about telling an amazing story and willing to give you everything they’ve got. We are going give this World Wide Latin audience something they’ve never seen before in this genre. Breath-taking colorful cinematic photography, amazing acting, and an emotionally heart felt dramatic score will move the audience as well as entertain them in this coming of age dramatic feature film.” said Race in Los Angeles.
Little has been released about the storyline of SHERMAN WAY, except that its centers on the Mercado’s, a Mexican family pieced together through tragedy, love, and divorce. This is Race’s follow up film to I’m In Love with a Church Girl starring Jeff “Ja Rule” Atkins in his first dramatic movie role and Adrienne Bailon (Cheetah Girls.) Sherman Way is scheduled to start shooting in June 2012.
