Hispanic Lifestyle is pleased to announce that our 2017 SoCal Business Expo and Conference will take place on Wednesday May 31, 2017 at the Ontario Airport Hotel and Conference Center, Ontario, California. The roots of Hispanic Lifestyle’s business to business events date back to 1996. Over the years Hispanic Lifestyle has celebrated the success of 100’s of Latino owned businesses who continue to Survive and Thrive in California’s economy.
This year’s conference will focus on a legislative update, Leadership Training and how to become contract ready. Start Up and Business Owners looking for financing will have an opportunity to meet with Small Business Lenders.
During the luncheon program Hispanic Lifestyle will present our 2017 Survived and Thrived honorees. Lunchtime attendees have the opportunity to hear directly from the leaders of these companies. They have been asked to share with the audience insights on how their business have survived and and ultimatley started thriving tough economic times.

Vincent joined the SBDC team in 2000 Vincent has a diverse business and technical background, and he also teaches Small Business Management and Marketing at Victor Valley College. He holds a BA in Accounting from California State University Hayward and an MBA in Marketing and Finance from Northeastern University.

Founded in 1989, the Angel Jewelers family has served the Inland Empire featuring the finest exquisite handcrafted jewelry with a high regard for customer service tailored to their customers’ needs. Owner Liliana Andriani was born and raised in Cali, Colombia and came to the United States in 1986. Inspired by the movie Zoot Suits main character El Pachuco, Phyllis Estrella along with the support of her husband Ray opened their business in 1978. Providing classic clothing that was first introduced in the 1920’s and 30’s, loyal customers have been coming to their Fullerton, California location for prom’s, quinceañera, weddings and other special occasions for their Zoot suits. Demand for their classic clothing as grown beyond Southern California with many of their customers located out of state and even foreign countries. Next year El Pacheco Zoot Suits will celebrate 40 years in business.
El Pollo Grill
Opened in 1987 by Rafael and Constanza Lopez, El Pollo Grill is a family-owned restaurant and catering company located in Lemon Grove and Bonita California. The items you will find on their menu are recipes that have been in the Lopez and Garcia families for generations.
El Pollo Grill which was founded by immigrants never let language and cultural barriers get in their way of their American dream. The founders raised their children to be proud of who they are and where they came from. El Pollo Grill has been serving the San Diego community with great Mexican food since 1987.

Alberto & Sara Segura never lost sight of their savings & entrepreneurial goal and in 1987 opened Ensenada Markets in La Puente, California. Ensenada Markets produces great tasting authentic foods and maintain honesty as a guiding core value of their services. Today with the involvement of their five daughters they have grown the business into three retail stores, two in Los Angeles County and one in Orange County. Their corporate office is located in the City of Industry. Founded in 1984 by Guadalupe Ojeda, G.O. Pallets, Inc merged a wealth of experience and skill into a company that would earn a remarkable reputation as a leading pallet manufacturing company. Owned by Alfredo Plascencia who was born in Zacatecas, Mexico purchased his first station in Oxnard, California in 1991. Today, Lazer owns and operates 20 Spanish-Language Radio Stations in more than 10 California Markets and in Reno, Nevada.
Otilio Farms
Otilio Farms, LLC has been in business since 2003 is owned by Hector Gutierrez a 1st generation farmer and strawberry grower who started farming 26 years ago. They currently have 240 acres of strawberries of which 55 acres are organic strawberries and they employ over 200 workers during peak strawberry growing season. Mr. Gutierrez active in his local community of Oxnard/Ventura is also on the board of directors for the California Strawberry Commission which represents the interest of California Strawberries throughout the world. California Strawberries are a $3 billion industry to the state of California and Hector is a leader in the industry with his production of conventional and organic strawberries.
Rumba Room Live
In 2000 The Rumba Room came to life in the heart of Universal CityWalk in Universal City. However in 2003 with the sudden passing of husband Ralph Hauser III, Delia Hauser took over the business and The Rumba Room quickly became a-must-visit landmark in Los Angeles. In 2011 the Rumba Room had to close its doors because of a contractual dispute. Fast forward to 2016 Rumba Room Live has become the place to be at GardenWalk in the heart of the Anaheim Resort District, just steps away from the happiest place on earth, the Disneyland Resort. Rumba Room Live is without a doubt a Latina owned business that has Survived and Thrived.

Tuesday evening Set-Up: After 5pm you may setup and leaving your non-valuable items overnight.
Wednesday Morning Set-Up: Set up between 7 – 8:00am. If you are going to be late, please text Jenniemarie at (951) 505-9643
We will start checking the attendees at 8:00am The booth is 8′ x 8′, includes 6 ft. table, black linen and two (2) chairs.
