Belissa Escobedo | Actress

Hispanic Lifestyle spoke with actress Belissa Escobedo who grew up in Southern California on the red carpet at the National Association of Latino Independent Producers (NALIP) Celebrating Latino Excellence: 25th Anniversary End of the Year Celebration event. 

In this video exclusive, Belissa describes booking her first gig and her current project a role opposite Reba McEntire in her NBC comedy series, Happy’s Place. In the show, she plays her 20-something sister. 

Background, in 2014, Escobedo joined a spoken poetry team that performed on The Queen Latifah Show. Her big break came in ABC’s 2020 series The Baker and the Beauty. She also made two appearances in American Horror Stories in 2021. In 2022, she starred as Bianca in the comedy film Sex Appeal. Later that year, she co-starred in the fantasy comedy film Hocus Pocus (2). In 2023, she appeared in the comedy-drama Sid Is Dead and the superhero film Blue Beetle.
