2019 Latina of Influence Lorena De La Huerta | Humanitarian and a Community Activist
Hispanic Lifestyle is pleased to recognize Lorena De La Huerta Humanitarian and a Community Activist as a 2019 Latina of Influence. Ms. De La Huerta along with our entire list of 2019 Latinas of Influence are invited to participate in Latina Conference 2019 taking place April 10 and 11, 2019 in Ontario, California.
Who is she? Lorena De La Huerta was born in Guanajuato, Mexico. Both her parents’ natives of Guanajuato, Mexico. She is the youngest of 5 siblings and was brought to the United States at the age of 14yrs. Ms. De La Huerta is the 1st generation high school graduate of Temecula Valley High School in Temecula, California with an undergraduate in Business Administration. She is married 21yrs, with 3 children 1 girl 2 boys ages 19, 16, & 12.
Lorena’s career debut started in 1995 in the Insurance industry and for 10 of those years she owned her own business in insurance. She started with Habitat for Humanity in 2008 as a volunteer she is now the Administrative Coordinator, in addition, she has served in the Hemet San Jacinto Valley Chamber of Commerce since 2008 and is now on the Board of Directors. She also has served as Chair, Co-Chair and currently as a committee member on the Chamber’s Hispanic Network and Woman in Business organizations.
Mrs. De La Huerta can be viewed as a Humanitarian and a Community Activist. In 2018 she became a living donor, she donated a kidney to her cousin, she has a passion for life without a doubt. Her hobbies include hiking, kick boxing and her community. She has strong family values that uniquely include celebrating family’s birthdays for the entire month taking it from birthday to birth month.
In closing Lorena De La Huerta is a Community Hero she demonstrates her inner strengths and offers her self-sacrifice in the community.
