Driving with Style | 2021 Toyota Sienna
by Richard Sandoval
I’ve owned SUVs for over 20 years now. Not sure that a minivan was on my list to purchase. Having just spent a week with a 2021 Toyota Sienna I must tell you, I feel as though I have been limiting my vehicle choices over the years.
The 2021 Sienna is a Head Turner.
First Impressions
Cargo space. Even with the third seat up, we still had plenty of room for groceries, plants and baseball gear. Comfort. Although we don’t have a young one in a car seat. I surely remember those days of trying to navigate a car seat, a stroller in and out of the car. Several locations to place your eye glasses, phones, purse, drinks and snacks. REMEMBER TO DRIVE RESPONSIBLY. Our model had captain seats in the second row which gave us easy access to the third row. These were very comfortable leather seats to go along with a very comfortable ride.
Technology
I’ve mentioned several times before what a fan I am of Apple’s CarPlay and the interaction with my iPhone. Syncing was seamless and there are plenty of USB connections and electrical connections. Our Sienna had a video screen that pulled down from the roof, so the rear passengers could enjoy a movie and listen via headphones. Yes very cool. A smart car, the Sienna reminded us about speed limits.
The 2021 Sienna is a head turner. I was approached several times during the week asking if I enjoyed the vehicle.
Final Thoughts
Our adventures with the 2021 Toyota Sienna hybrid took us to Temecula, Lake Arrowhead, Corona, California and lots of trips around town for everyday driving. I was really impressed that at the end of the week, there was still a half a tank of gas left. This was the first time I ever returned a vehicle with any gas left in the tank.
If form, fit and function is important to you, I believe this 2021 Toyota Sienna will check several boxes. I recommend test driving the Sienna and decide for yourself if it fits your lifestyle.
