About
Cancer Treatment Centers of America® was founded in 1988 by Richard J Stephenson in honor of his mother, Mary Brown Stephenson. After his mother’s cancer diagnosis, Mr. Stephenson and his family searched for the most advanced and effective treatments available. However, they were disappointed to discover that world-renowned cancer hospitals were not focused on providing both comprehensive care and advanced treatment options.
As a result, Richard Stephenson committed to changing the face of cancer care and founded Cancer Treatment Centers of America in order to provide other families and their loved ones with integrative, patient-centered treatment. Today, CTCA has developed into a national network of cancer centers and community treatment facilities in Zion, Illinois; Tulsa, Oklahoma; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Goodyear, Arizona; Newnan, Georgia; as well as an outpatient care clinic in Seattle, Washington.
