Hispanic Lifestyle is honored to recognize Vice President New York for T-Mobile, Denise Vidal as a Latina of Influence. Ms. Vidal will be recognized for her leadership in our community during Hispanic Lifestyle’s Connecting Latinas of Influence | Bronx, New York to be held on September 24, 2024. We are pleased to share her story with you.
Her Deep-Rooted Strength Comes from Mom
Without hesitation, Denise knows her passion to help others succeed comes from her mother, a single parent who had to navigate a lot of challenges raising a family. Denise has always admired her mother’s strength to overcome adversity, and from her example developed both a sense of deep pride and determination that allowed her to focus equally on the positive and “what ifs” to persevere.
Empowering Women to Pursue Paths to Leadership
Denise proudly holds a degree in liberal arts from Purchase College in New York, a testament to her perseverance and determination. Despite facing limited exposure to diverse career paths and lacking early mentors to steer her ambitions, Denise remained steadfast in her pursuit of a brighter future. She vividly recalls the challenges of navigating uncertainty, feeling the weight of not having a clear trajectory. Yet, armed with her diploma, Denise gained not only a broad understanding of various professions but also a newfound sense of self-assurance. This transformation was deeply rooted in the guiding influence of her mother, who instilled in Denise the resilience to forge ahead with positivity in the face of ambiguity. Today, Denise stands as a beacon of empowerment, embodying the spirit of resilience and determination that defines the Latinas of Influence.
That period of introspection and uncertainty left a profound mark on Denise. Consequently, she has dedicated herself to empowering other women throughout her career, extending support to friends within the community and colleagues in the workplace. Denise takes immense pride in her commitment to nurturing a network of encouragement, one that inspires individuals to embrace their potential and envision grand aspirations. Despite the demands of her schedule, she prioritizes the invaluable task of coaching others, aiding them in overcoming obstacles, fostering bold ambitions for personal advancement, cultivating a sense of belonging, and emboldening them to set and chase after their aspirations. Denise’s team values her style and consistency as a mentor. This is evident by how they have been able to lead positive change within the organization and share innovative practices with other best in class companies.
Denise’s commitment to her team also translates to business success for T-Mobile. Under her leadership, Denise takes pride in her ability to leverage her expertise in building connections to impact T-Mobile’s survey framework, which evaluates customer experiences. Her efforts to enhance the feedback mechanism for quality assessment have played a pivotal role in T-Mobile achieving an impressive streak of 12 consecutive national accolades for delivering top-tier customer service within the industry.
Still Growing, Still Giving
After more than two decades of dedicated service at T-Mobile, Denise’s passion for empowering others remains as strong as ever. Her dedicated focus on others helps her prioritize regular engagement with her teams, fostering discussions on professional growth and development, as such, dozens have been able to pivot to leadership and/or executive roles. Denise is committed to leveraging her influence to shine a spotlight on emerging talent within one of the most dynamic industries. While the internet has facilitated access to career information for women today, Denise recognizes the ongoing need for encouragement and timely guidance. Leveraging her influence, she actively participates in mentoring initiatives at T-Mobile and volunteers with the University of South Florida, sharing transparently about her own early career challenges and the resilience it demanded. Her ultimate objective is to leave a lasting impact by instilling in women the same sense of optimism, perseverance, and confidence that her
mother imparted to her, underscoring her authentic commitment to empowerment and mentorship.

On behalf of T-Mobile, we nominate Denise Vidal for recognition as a 2024 Hispanic Lifestyle Latina of Influence serving the New York market. A source of inspiration across the organization, Denise is recognized for continually encouraging her teams to believe in themselves and set stretch goals that embrace possibilities more than probabilities.
