Hispanic Lifestyle is pleased to honor Curator, Creative Development strategist, and Social Impact Leader Janice Torres-Perez as a Latina of Influence. Ms. Janice Torres-Perez will be recognized for her leadership in our community during Hispanic Lifestyle’s Connecting Latinas of Influence | Bronx, New York to be held on September 24, 2024.

Janice Torres-Perez is a museum Curator, Creative Development strategist, and Social Impact Leader. Woven into her signature approach to creating belonging and advocating for missions that matter is a passion for cultural preservation.

Of her numerous contributions, the most notable ones include creating a campaign concept that influenced Juneteenth’s spot as a federal holiday, driving the trajectory of the International Salsa Museum since 2021––supporting its leadership with preserving Latin music history, and leading communications for one of the nation’s largest gatherings of Indigenous people’s––Indigenous People’s Day New York Committee at Randall’s since 2019. Fiercely placing purpose before profit, in 2018 Janice became the first publicist to petition for major retailers to rename their annual October sale from Columbus to Fall.

Her creative communications company, The Brand Phoenix, established in 2014 in her daughter Phoenix Mia’s namesake.
