Laura Nassri Warren, AIA, NCARB | 2024 Latina of Influence

Hispanic Lifestyle is pleased to honor President/Principal of The Warren Group Architects, Laura Nassri Warren, AIA, NCARB, as a Latina of Influence. Ms. Nassri Warren will be recognized for her leadership in our community during Hispanic Lifestyle’s Connecting Latinas of Influence | Bronx, New York to be held on September 24, 2024.

Born in Ciudad Juarez Chihuahua, the second child of a Lebanese Family well-known for their transportation companies throughout Mexico and South America. She is an Architect and founder of The Warren Group Architects, Inc.in McAllen, and Austin TX. The Warren Group was founded in 2004 and is a Binationally certified firm providing design and project management services throughout Texas, Mexico, and South America.

Warren received a Bachelor of Architecture from the Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez Received post-graduate studies at the Birmingham Studios of Auburn University and in 2021 Post Graduate Executive Education at Stanford Graduate School of Business.

  • She is the former chairman of the McAllen Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors, McAllen Foreign Trade Zone, McAllen Intermodal, and the McAllen International Museum of Arts and Science (all two-year terms).
  • Former Executive Vice-President of the McAllen Chamber of Commerce. Former president of the International Women’s Board of the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.
  • First Woman President of the McAllen South Rotary (and only woman president to date)

She is a member of the American Institute of Architects, its LRGV Chapter and the Texas Society of Architects as well as the National Council Of Architectural Boards.
As an architect, Laura continues to provide award-winning designs for companies worldwide who are planning and establishing manufacturing, healthcare, and governmental facilities in Texas, Mexico, and South America.

The Warren Group has earned a reputation as the go-to architect for major healthcare, research, and Industrial developers as well as fortune 100 companies such as Hunt, Hydro, LG, SpaceX, Corning, Emerson, Panasonic, Stanley Black & Decker, Woodcrafters, Bissel to name a few.

Her firm is the lead architect for many cities in the RGV such as Pharr, McAllen, Mission, Rio Grande City, and Laredo to name a few.
Laura is the proud mother of William Austin and Rebecca Nicole, both graduated from Texas A&M University. Laura had been involved in her children’s many activities like Boys Scouts of America, Rio Grande Valley Ballet, theatre, tennis, and soccer…an unknown fact about Laura is that she went to all three BSA high adventure camps as an assistant scout Master with her son’s troop.

Laura’s hobbies include reading, cooking, and traveling around the world with family, friends, and her beloved staff.
She is married to the love of her life and husband of almost eleven years Dan Ogletree. She and Dan work on many large-scale Industrial facilities together.

The Warren Group Architects, or TWG, was established in 2004 by Ms. Laura Nassri Warren in McAllen, Texas. With over 38 years of experience in the construction industry, Ms. Warren is a pioneer and role model for many women in the Rio Grande Valley. Since the inception of the business, she has been actively involved in her community in various ways.

Ms. Warren has served on multiple boards and supports several organizations that she recognizes are doing good work in the community. She presently serves on the board of directors for Easter Seals, which is involved in various ways to help children in need in the Rio Grande Valley. Additionally, she serves on the Driscoll Children’s Hospital Board of Directors, which is dedicated to ensuring that children in need receive all the support they require. Ms. Warren’s goal is to help children and positively impact families’ lives continually by supporting organizations that make a positive difference in the community.
