From Our Archives | Disneyland Halloween 2009

Nearly 17 years later, photographs from Disneyland’s Halloween season continue to find an audience.

here was a time when Disneyland was a regular stop on the Hispanic Lifestyle editorial calendar. Throughout the late 2000s, we attended media events at the resort, documenting seasonal celebrations, new attractions and experiences throughout the year.

During a media visit in 2009, our cameras were drawn to the elaborate Halloween pumpkin displays along Main Street, U.S.A. We photographed the expressions, characters and craftsmanship that made each creation different.

Those photographs became part of the Hispanic Lifestyle archives.

Nearly 17 years later, something interesting continues to happen. As summer begins turning toward fall, people start discovering these photographs again.

Perhaps they’re searching for Halloween decorating ideas. Perhaps they’re looking for a little fall inspiration. Or perhaps there is simply something timeless about the creativity captured in these images.

Whatever brings people back, we thought it was time to share them again.

EDITOR NOTES

In addition to our popular 2009 photo journal, we thought our friends and colleagues might enjoy exploring more from the Hispanic Lifestyle archives. We’ve included photographs from our Disneyland media visits in 2011 and 2012, offering another look at the creativity and seasonal details of Halloween along Main Street, U.S.A.
